One night I was driving down a country road, and as I pulled up I saw two turkey vultures fighting over a groundhog carcass. I sometimes feel that's what writing is like... picking at chunks of ideas that have been used before, mashing them around your mouth for a bit... pushing them halfway down your neck and then regurgitating it for the consumption of my children, which could be more ideas or readers. Who knows...
